52,000SF Complete building envelope rehabilitation project of a fully occupied secondary school including replacement of windows and doors, increasing the thermal performance of the building, and associated work. Project was divided into four phases with each phase staggered by approximately 1.5 months. We worked with the school management to schedule window and door replacements in one classroom per day, thereby minimizing disturbance to school operations. Interior finishing was arranged during holidays to minimize impact on school operations. To accelerate the schedule, we consulted with the stucco subcontractor and arrived at an innovative solution to complete the stucco preparation prior to windows being installed which is an unconventional approach. This approach drastically reduced the project duration due to eliminating the lead-time impact of doors and windows.
